Ok, today was way better. Met one of are techs here. He was taking the all day basics electrical class,so I said ok I'm taking 3 ref classes over the next 3 days and ref from the ground up or basic electric? Man am I glad Dave was taking this class,It was done by Fred Butcher of Freds Appliances. He does three week training classes for techs wanting to start there own bis, or just be updated. His class was great. Lots of great information. No way this was basic. Well spent day. Beer draws at $6 are still a pain . Dave's bringing  me beer tomorrow.

Well where I'm from that's a little high. Ok ,got to meet techs from all over the us and Canada. Most of the classes were great. There was a lot of great information .In a couple of weeks I will have the classes downloaded and I will get them to AJ. I never want to see Mickey Mouse again but this convention was worth the trip. And we are going to have some new membesr from it. I'll update stuff to AJ as I get it and have time.

I know of a few guys who took freds appliance college,  its like 2900 for 3 weeks.     Gives guys a good start,  but we all know the best way to learn is by experience and working.    By the way,  what does membership for this ASTI cost and what does it run to go to this convention and take the classes.    I might be interested in the future,   what kind of classes and what brands were taught?

I belong to United Servicers Association and membership is about $200 a year. Well worth it, I get training from them once a year as well. Discounts and such are a bonus as well as service manual access. Discounts to ASTI but it's on the other side of the country so too far to go. Discounts on Blue book as well. Check them out.   http://www.unitedservicers.com/
