Whirlpool dryer won't stay on

Recently picked up a Whirlpool DWJR-ELE-2406026-FM54 that won't stay on for more than a few seconds.  The door switch and main on switch seem to be fine from my tests and I believe it's an automatic shutoff of sorts.  Took the motor out and cleaned it, turns much smoother but after reassembling it still had the same problem.  Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Model # is incorrect. Try putting a couple damp items in dryer and run it.

Wouldn't it allow the unit to run for more than just a few seconds with even dry clothes?

After it shuts off can it be restarted immediately?

Even though the door switch seems good,jump it out and run the dryer to verify it is not intermittent.

Good question. Does unit start and again immediately after it shuts down?

If it still does it after cleaning the sensors I would check the thermistor for continuity.

I've cleaned all sensors and run it with wet clothes in it.  It will run for a few seconds then shutoff or held down or jumped to override the switch it will run for about 30 seconds before shutting off and not turning back on.  It will start a few times for a few seconds then shutoff and won't start at all for a bit.  I have not checked with voltage meter, won't have one for a couple days. Thanks a ton for the suggestions!

What is the model number? The number you listed is not correct.
The full model number is located on the model/serial number tag that can be found on the dryer.

Sounds like the ol protector is opening circuit on a faulty motor.

WED5300SQ0 should be the model, what I listed before is the 'type'

Basic dryer, sounds like a bad motor to me.
