MAYTAG REF DISPLAYS -14 FOR FZR & 8 FOR FRESH FOOD SEC.

Freezer was badly frosted up, fzr drawer was jammed open and cooling failing. Had customer unplug and defrost. Now the unit is cooling normally but the display shows -14 for the fzr and +8 for the ff section. These numbers are locked and the temperature setting cannot be changed.

Anybody seen this?

Did you try unplugging for 5 minutes, & plugging back in?

I also failed to mention that the -14 & +8 on the display was there before I instructed the customer to unplug and defrost as well as after plugging it back in.
