LG washing machine WT-R801 Stops After Wash Works Manually

I am having this problem with my 10 years old LG Top Loading washing machine.

In a normal wash cycle. It washes them it turns itself off. Then I could start the rinse cycle manually, it will do the rinse process and then turn itself off again before the spinning cycle. Then I could start the spinning cycle again.

I am not sure whether it is worthwhile to repair the machine or get a new one. Any help in finding the cause of the problem is greatly appreciated.

I can't find anything for that model.  It's coming up as an invalid number at LG's tech site.

Not a model that was sold here in the states so we do not have any experience or technical data. Sorry.

That's correct, we (U.S. Techs) don't have info on that model. But maybe a tech from outside the U.S. can help, never know.

Thank you everyone. I thought it might be a common problem with LG range. I am guessing that actual programming is corrupted. Does this mean replacing the PCB?

Since its 10 years old, i would probably put money into a new one.

I was thinking the same unless I can get it fixed for $100 or less. I don't know if it is worth to spend $250-300 on it.

It has stopped working altogether now, I can not even turn it on now. Does this give clue as to what might the problem might be?

Well in the end I replaced the PCB. The problem of stopping at various stages is gone now.

However there is a new problem after installing the PCB.  Some of the buttons on the panel are not very responsive, I have to push the buttons really hard to make it work. One or two buttons are not working like the ability to select the cycle. I have checked the installation and PCB seems to be sitting correctly with the front  panel controls.

Do I just have a faulty replacement part or there is a fault with my installation? The part does not seem to be a genuine LG part as the colours on the plugs were different otherwise identical .
