dryer light is on but it wont run

my dryer light is on, we have checked the voltage its gettin the electricity it needs. have also tried different dryer but same problem

Yes but we have tried 2different dryers and 3 pigtails. Same problem w all

Recently moved in to this establishment? Check your 240vac for proper polarity...

What is the voltage at the dryer on L1 to L2,
L1 to Neutral,
L2 to Neutral?

Good morning gentlemen! I had almost the same problem once when I went to a clients house. The dryer light would work and the motor would run but would not heat. After breaking out my meter I discovered that the L-1 had 120  and L -2 nothing. So, I took electrical panel lose and tested the breaker, which the whole problem ended up being a faulty breaker, much  to my surprise!
