Thanks AJ. Problem was with evaporator motor drive on control board - fixed now. But the board has two empty relay positions (power to icemaker/dispensor and light cutoff relay). I wanted to make sure this is by factory design and that they didn't fall out -or something

I can see from the wiring diagram that those circuits are hard wired and not controlled by the main board - so the 2 relays are not required!

It was one of these boards except the two marked relays are not populated.

We are seeing a lot of those boards and more so of the newer brother that looks like this:

They are dropping like flies right now. Symptoms are usually evaporator fan not being driven, control panel lights flicker or dim out, sometimes the condensor fan relay and/or defrost heater relays go out as well.

Be very suspicious of this board causing intermittent and wacky failures!
