Back to work...
« on: February 12, 2013, 12:55:01 PM »
After being on the injured list for 8 months, I'm back to work for the evil empire. I've been in the building for 90 minutes and I'm ready to go crazy. My van is trashed, my computer is updating (and will be updating for the next couple of hours) and I'm listening to tech managers laughing at how techs are upset with working conditions. I really need my tax refund so I can start my business. Anyone want to invest in starting up an appliance repair business? :))

If you can document this, you can sue them for hostile work conditions.

That's a Twofer!  Stick your finger in their eye AND get your start-up money!

I should have recorded it on my phone. They're also doing some shady stuff to break the union in Colorado and Wyoming. It's pretty sad, and infuriating.  I wish I knew some techs out there so I could warn them...

They are trying to get our union too. It took a year and a half to get a new contract. And guess what no wage increases for the life of the contract. Gotta love this place. Hey they always expect more work for the same wage. Only here, gotta keep the CEO wealthy, he has a private island to pay for...... :P

I got home while the sun was out.  I can't believe it.  Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket?

Nah.... I'd have to put the beer down...

The state of service is three weeks right now. That means if someone schedules for a tech to fix their appliance, you wont see a tech for three weeks. If I was on my own, I'd be advertising like crazy right now.

Hey Lows,

What percentage of your calls, on average, are warranty calls?

Three weeks lead time is big, but for us non-authorized folks, the warranty calls are out.   That leaves whatever's left  available for competition.
