I havent had to work on too many of the vmw macjhines yet. I got one that makes a grinding noise during agitation. Seemed to work ok with no clothes in it, but with some towels in it the washer makes a sound like plastic gears slipping during agitation, and it doesnt appear to agitate.  Does this sound like the splutc has stripped?

Must be something to do with the splutch maybe the actuator gone out?

well I went back today with the cam kit (splutch) and actuator in hand.  Pulled off the cover on the bottom and the nut was gone and the pulley was very wobbly.

I found the nut under the dryer.  Put the new cam kit on, and it worked perfectly.  I also used locktite on the nut.

Customer was happy, I was happy.  a happy ending!
