I am a self employed senior tech In the KCMO area. Been doing this since 1964. I remember working on the original Crosley Shelvadors and the old Norge rotary units. Looking forward to sharing trade tips with you all.

Welcome, Frigeman.   I thought I was in this a long time at 40 years,  but you have me beat.    I started back in 73.   But,  I was fixing stuff with my dad at 9 so that would put me in the same range as you.  Bitch to be getting this old,  Glad to have you aboard.   Lots of good information from everybody on this board, the shared knowledge is wonderful.  You and me never had any of this in the old days,  you were on your own.   Never even had cell phones to call factory or anybody.    Lonely in those days when you were stuck on something.    But, made a man of you and forced you to find the solutions you needed to fix something.   Again,  Welcome.

Know what you mean  Wedgeman-Dont know what I would do without my GPS. It the old days we had a paper street guide and a pocket full of dimes for the pay phone.

I am having a hard time with all the new electronics on refrigerators. As the old saying goes moisture and electronics don't mix.

Just about got the GEs figured out. They seem to be problem prone thus learning the hard way on them. The others it seems like you put one board on to see if it needs another. The owners don't buy that routine.

Thanks for the welcome-Your good people O0
