Neptune top loader is making a high pitch whistle sound.

Maytag Neptune model FAV6800AW top loader is making a high pitch whistle sound during rinse cycle. And really loud during wash cycle.
I really can't tell where the moise is coming from. I am guessing that it is either the water valve or the clutch. Do any of your world renowned techs have any idea as to where I should start? Is there a service manual that I may get for this model?

Is it noisy during the whole wash cycle or just when it's filling with water?
Is it noisy at all during the spin cycle?

That manual is for a front loader. I have a top loader.

The whine might something in the impeller of the electric pump. Have you checked that?

I think after I get my taxes here in a few weeks I will buy that nice DVD manual set you have. That will always come in handy!
