the belt on my amana lwa50aw keeps fraying, my husband yells that I overload the machine , i have been loading this thing for years.  he washes a load ie one pair of jeans, two shirts and six socks. i can not afford to wash loads this small with 4 in the house, any ideas

Tell him to make sure pump turns freely.

27001007 is the correct belt part number and i would use factory belt on this machine.

I was told by a factory rep that the proper way to load a washer was to pick up the clothes and put them in the tub until the clothes were up to the top. Where most people go wrong, they add more clothes and push down. Clothes don't get clean just because they are in soapy water. They have to be rubbed.  The clothes need to have room to roll over. The more roll over, the more cleaning.
