18 uf run capacitor on a washer
« on: August 23, 2016, 10:31:19 PM »
Hi guys, I need an 18mfd capacitor for the squirrel cage blower motor on a dust eating air scrubber like machine.  We borrowed the thing and the capacitor went out while we were using it.  It is am 18mfd 250v capacitor.  I stopped at the local Ac supply and the closest they had was a 20mfd 440v.  If I can I would rather stay with the 18mfd.  I posted this here because in my online searches I fould several references to 18mfd washer motor capacitors. But I don't want to wait for something of questionable quality to ship from China. I went to a local appliance parts store and they wanted a make and model from a washer to look it up.

Would any of you guys know of a washer that uses this type of capacitor?  Or could point me to a USA supplier?  It looks a lot like these with a different wrapper.  I don't care about the leads or size and shape I just need it to work right on the 115v blower motor so we can finish using it and return it working properly.
