Frigidaire SxS with bad plastic smell

I will have to dig up the model number. Frigidaire SXS about 1.5-2 years old. 
 
Customer said the control board was replaced a little after a year.  No problems since.  Around Christmas they started to have a really bad plastic smell...mostly in the freezer...is putting a smell and tast into the food so they keep throwing stuff out.
 
Fridge is working fine.  coils clean...nothing melting slowly on the compressor...ice maker fine and turned off to be sure...no noticeable problems with evaporator coil's and heater system....light turns off when door closed...fan running well...no noticeable problems.
 
Definately a plastic type smell...not bad until evap. fan kicks then definate right in your face smell of "plastic" I guees is what I would call it...I told the customer to put some baking sheets with baking soda in each side and change every day or so and see if it will help but I have no idea.  Any thought's...I'm really stumped.

Service flash RF1106 on this direct issue. styrofoam on either side of the evap coil have fallen onto heater assembly and have melted.
Appropriate kit is to be ordered and installed.

Thank you Domain and AJ from my customer and me.  The customer was able to talk Electolux into warranty on the problem.  The fridge was only a little out of warranty and already had the control board replaced. 

I lost out on the repair because I'm not a warranty person but that's ok he will remember me and how I (you) were able to help.  Yes I did give him this website for future reference.
