Service call on a new Whirlpool VWM. Not Draining.
Symptoms: Full of water, funny noise, machine resets to "done" in 10 seconds.
Drained water, removed the pump, and pulled out a dryer sheet (?!) from the filter.
Ran Diagnostics, and showed error codes for slow drain, and spin basket problems (i.e. not reaching rpm), all related to the object in pump (& between basket & tub).
Easy fix, and the machine runs well again. Lucky no pump damage.
On this model (2010), all diagnostics and error codes must be interpreted through the led's - there is no time display. It is also inconvenient that you have to remove the drain hose in order to completely remove the back panel. Perhaps they'll change that in future models.
