Maytag model mhwe300vw11 front loader door hinge

Door hinge on our front loader is getting tight. The hinge seems to be binding a bit, is there a lube kit or anything else to try before I spend a $100 on a new hinge. Washer is about 4 years old, wouldn't think the hinge could be bad already. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have tried to clean and lube a few different hinges on front load washers, but after a few call backs it's just not worth it for me to try anymore.

I'm afraid you will find sooner or later the hinge will need to be replaced, part # 8183202

Thanks AJ, I was afraid of that. Do you see a lot of these particular hinges going bad?

A few, but I would not say a lot of them. About how old is your washer?

The washer is 3 or 4 years old. I watched the repair video, and the door swings open pretty easily on their door. I take it there is no rebuild kits for these? The door opens easily to the 3/4 open position, that's where the the door binds.

Nope, no rebuild kit.
I notice on some that I replace that the door sags too. Have seen them sag to the point that the door has to be lifted up a bit in order for it to latch close.
