Kitchen Aid Free Standing Icemaker

I'm working on a Kitchen-Aid KUIS15NRHS8 Icemaker.  Customer complaint was it is making a humming sound and no cool what so ever.   I got to the house, and found the Cutter Grid Transformer Humming.  I did not do a voltage check on it, I was wondering if any of you guys work on these things and could tell me if I should look at something else causing the transformer to hum, or is it just a shot Transformer.  Part # for the transformer is 2185657  part # 2 in the diagram.  Thanks Guys.

Even if you disconnected the cutter grid it should still make ice. It just wouldn't cut it into little squares. Is the compressor running? Is the recirc pump running? Is the condenser fan running? I would look at these first and save the hum sound till last. Aj has a service manual
 for this product if you need it.
