LG Recalls Top-Loading Washing Machines Due to Risk of Injury
« on: December 23, 2012, 09:50:55 AM »
An unbalanced load can cause the washing machine to shake excessively and the drum to come loose during use, posing a risk of injury to consumers and property damage to the surrounding area.

LG has received at least 343 reports of washing machines vibrating excessively, of which at least 187 involved minor property damage. One minor injury has been reported.

The recall involves three LG and three Kenmore Elite Brand top-loading washing machine models manufactured between February 2010 and November 2011. The units come in beige, white and graphite steel colors.

Looks like I'm going to be really busy when i get back to full time...

Honestly, i think this is an issue of people not reading the owners manual and overloading the machine.  It ain't a direct drive...

We have been reprogramming for about a month in stores. I was told to wait on customers models. But after running into two that someone had ordered parts on ,I started reprogramming them to.

You are correct. Its not a whirlpool.  I agree 100 percent that the customers misuse the machines. Last one that Broke a shock mount washed a comforter on HIGH speed spin to save ENERGY on the dryer.  :D
