electrolux dryer molel# eied55hiwo. Trying to help a fellow tech. Dryer on normal heat, runs for 4 to 5 minutes and e64 code comes up. On a no heat cycle unit runs appr. 4 seconds and shuts down with e64 code. Unit heats and has good air flow. Friend will look for problem in the heat circuit as per e64. Just wondering if anyone has seen this as a possible problem with this design. Thanks.

How can it heat if it has an open heater circuit. open thermister? Shorted heater element?

I have seen a couple of these that the element was not braced and once hot would droop and short, of course it is always on the end hardest to see....

Latest report is this dryer had faulty heat unit. I'm wondering why code would come up on no heat cycle. Thanks everyone.
