I too would like to know what other techs use to accurately monitor temperature inside an oven. :D

Double test leads Fluke. Model 52 I think,I have had it about 15 years. Tried a lot of different ones, this one has worked the best. Replace leads a couple of times a year.

Thanks niobrara! I use the type k in my fluke 902. It is ok for 350 degrees or less, but reads OL above that. :D

Mine is just for temps, it is very good. Little pricey, but worth it. Ends a lot of bull, with customers.

I had an oven temp meter.   Was in leather case,  maybe robinair or something,  years ago.  Was really good,  had a semi-rigid probe permanently mounted to meter.     I would place it in center of oven and it would stay.     But,  somewhere along the line it grew legs and dissapeared from my old job where i had my tools,     Never found another one like it.     I use several meters now,  my craftsman with temp probe.   I have to finde another good one like the one I had.

I'll have to look into that.    Does the fluke work good?

I have a Fluke 16 and a K probe.  Don't wind up your probe and it will last a long time. Mine sits up on the dash when not in use.

Buy the Fieldpiece K type probes. They have a plastic cover on the wires. They last a really long time.
