Have you done the diagnostics? You can return the door lock to Repair Clinic if it doesn't solve the problem. We can't help you if you ignore professional advice.

Have not performed any diagnostics as I am not sure of the specific "diagnostics."  Will plan on ordering the door latch today if this is your recommendation.

I'm liking the 95% prediction.  As for an even more recent update, I did follow the instructions this morning  on the Tech Sheet to first check for power.  Check.  Removed belt (which was in great shape), and set the timer to the Regular Wash cycle and pulled the knob out.  Motor does not rotate.  Says to check for a poor connection in the timer line switch or door lock switch (notes if good and motor does not run, go to step 3 which is measure voltages between pins 5 and 6 on the harness).

I really appreciate the feedback.  I love fixing things myself as it presents a challenge and at least I can learn something new.  I do the same in fixing things on my son's Jeep.  My wife hates it and always wants me to seek a professional (in both sense of the term I bet).

One other note, as I advanced the timer to other cycles, the light indicator for the closed door lit each time I pull the operate knob.

The door lock light coming on doesn't mean the door lock is actually working right. I know it can be confusing but the door lock switch is the most common part to fail on these washers.

I have placed order on the replacement door switch.  Will provide an update once part is received and replaced.

The only thing you need to check for on that style door switch in the case of a NO SPIN issue is the wax motor(Brownish red box with two male 1/4'' terminals) and of course its wiring and connections. This style switch engages a SECONDARY door lock mechanism by means of a WAX motor which will then actuate a set of contacts to allow High Speed Spin. If the wax motor reads OPEN it has failed and WILL NOT allow final spin. If i recall correctly, it should read AROUND 1500 ohms. :D

New door switch replaced.  Turned on washer - water pumped in, then water started pumping back out.  No agitation, no spin as I cycled the dial.  Back to square one(?).
