Samsung RFG297 refrigerator case ice route assy has a broken sping

Inside the case ice route assembly there is a flap assembly that closes the ice dispensing tube.  The torsion spring has broken and the flap hangs down allowing warm air into the ice maker.  I do not want to buy an entire assembly but cannot find a replacement part for the spring.  Has anyone figured out a fix without having to buy the entire assembly?  Thanks in advance-Mike
