MAYTAG MHWE300VW12 cant unlock controls

I cant unlock the controls on this washer  Hold control lock button for 3 seconds then beeps but light stays on and controls still locked.  Am i missing something or CCU problem  Any help please

Unplug the three wire plug at the top of the motor control board.  If the user control then becomes responsive, replace the motor control.
