Need  Some Help with a GE Electric Dryer... Problem dryer shuts down after running

about 20 minutes,  will restart after about a 5 minute cool down... I have cleaned 

the vent line Completely, including the dryer itself

Just looked at the diagram for your model and see it's a basic dryer with a mechanical timer, no electronic controls.

I would suspect the motor (part # WE17X10010) is over heating and cutting out on the overload. Then it resets after it cools down.

Does the drum turn easily? If not I would inspect the drum glides. If they are gone that ould cause the drum bearing to overheat the motor.

this could also be the high limit sensor on the top right hand side of the heater it shuts power off to the motor in the case of the dryer overheating  that sensor could be defective

Would that high limit reset itself after it cools down?

Are you saying their are defective fuses out there? A high limit is a one time fuse. Part number we4x800. That is most likely the motor. Is it getting hot because the drum glides are gone and the drum is pinching under load? Or is it simply the motor? Does is turn easily by hand with a load in it? If it don't then that would cause the motor to over heat.
