DIY to fix clips holding freezer door shelf on?
« on: December 29, 2014, 10:10:54 PM »
I have a Kitchenaid KSSS42MBX01 from 1994. Two of my freezer door shelves have broken because of some cheap plastic clips and 20 years of punishment. I can pick up replacements for $40 but maybe there is some kind of hackery that I could do to strangle a little more life out of them? Attached is a picture of what the broken clips look like.

You could secure them in place with pop rivets. That's assuming the door liner hasn't gotten brittle over the years.
