Washer is tripping the GFCI receptacle.

hommer:
Our Kenmore washer model # 110.24872300 which has been working fine is near a sink and the power cord is plugged into a GFCI outlet. The outlet trips in the middle of the wash cycle. I reset the outlet and let it run again only to find it full of water still because it had tripped during the rinse cycle. I reset the outlet again and this time it finished the rest of the cycle. Is this a easy fix?
AdirondackBob:
Try plugging the washer into a non-GFI outlet. This is a common problem with Washers and GFI outlets.
Bailey:
Yeah, I don't like to see appliances on GFI circuits. Unless its a Maytag Mah9700 front loader.
