I have a Bosch WTA3500 that suddenly won't start. Pressing Start turns the Drying LED on but nothing else happens. I have a generic WTA34../WTA35.. repair manual and I've run through the tests. The dryer passes the "indicators/display", "button and selector switch" and "conductance measurement" tests. But when I try the "components and NTC's" test nothing happens - the test runs for about a minute and then the system goes back to the Start button flashing again. Nothing is displayed so it doesn't look like an NTC issue.
The repair manual mentions a "dry cupboard" test when the motor won't start. Any idea how to start that test? Or are there any other tests I could run that would narrow down the problem? Given the age of dryer, could it be the motor brushes?
Anyone have diagrams to show how remove the fascia if the problem is the door switch or the power module?
Thanks in advance.
