LG Tromm washing Machine Sticky Hinges

I have a washer model wm2688hwm.The door is getting hard to open and close.Do the hinges need lube and if so what type?

This is a typical problem. The hinges get corroded by drips from the dispenser usually. The hinge should be replaced. Often a screw or two will not come out. It's best to get the screws too. They aren't to expensive. There was a change at one point - the hinge was modified. From what I recall the new hinge works with the old panel and door but it takes a different amount of screws. If you provide your model and serial number I will look up any changes that may apply.

Yes you do need to take the front off. I need the serial number also.
