I was given a newer but used kitchenaide fridge. ( KBF A25ERSS).
When i plug it in it appears that it will fully cool the freezer compartment before starting to cool the refrigerator compartment.
Is this the way it was designed to work?
Is there   anyway to have it cool the refigerator part  first?
I will be using it at our hunting cabin, and we rarely take up frozen food, and it seems that we will have to wait several hours for the refrigerator section to start cooling.

Appreciate any info.
