samsung RF217ACPN water in crispers

A customer has a Samsung french door bottom freezer model number RF217ACPN and it has water in and under the crispers.


I thought it must be a clogged drain in the upper evaporator, but it is not.  no signs of clogging at all.


Its a fair amount of water.  She said when its cleaned up it reforms after a few weeks.  My only guess would be that even though the drain isn't clogged, the defrosted water is somehow leaking and getting into the crispers and below them.


Anyone seen this or have any ideas?

Is this the one with the water valve between the crispers ?

Nope, no water valve between crispers.

No idea then I have had issues with the filters and valves between crispers sorry no help.

yes.. have seen this many times .. samsung fix was to replace the evap cover as they thought water was migrating down the shield and into the crispers.. have changed a few but problem reoccurs..

Follow up.  I bent the drain pan slightly more outward towards the cover and it seems to have stopped the problem.  Its been about a month and havent heard back.
