I just started getting f82 lid lock error, how do i lift the top on this model?   There aren't the usual clips like on all other whirlpool top loaders that release with a putty knife, I cant find a service aid or service info for this model

To raise the lid: remove the top screw from each hinge bracket on rear of top, remove screw & small cover plate from left side of rear panel. Then slide top forward & lift. The tech sheet is located in an envelope on the inside of the cabinet front.  Perhaps AJ could post a link to the W10329932 repair manual for these washers.

thank you Scrapiron got it open, but what I found was the 2 plastic bosses that the lid lock switch mounts with, have cracked and wont retain the lid lock switch screws. cant see a fix except for lid replacement.  very poor design for such an expensive machine the  lid part is right around $3000.00 its #2 in the exploded view.
Is it possible whirlpool designed a repair kit for this problem? I bet it will be a common problem looking at the design

the  W10329932 L-84 Whirlpool Vertical Modular Washer Service Manual is different from this unit, mine doesnt have the belt drive gearcase mine has the cabrio direct drive  mechanism and the computer screen.
