kenmore 80 series electric dryer wont dry

I have a kenmore electric dryer. It will spin all day long but will not heat up. the vents and all he duct work are cleaned out. can anybody please help me out. I am a little more than cofused when it comes to this? any help would be appreciated

i did check at the plug and confirm that i have 240v there. so at that point i know i dont have an issue there

Take back panel and check for 240 at heater.Also you can use your ohm meter with dryer unplug and take one wire off each thermostat and check for continuity for each thermostat .

i found the thermal cut out fuse is open, no continuity going through it, the thermal fuse was .3 ohm, cycling t-stat was 0.0 ohm, the heater element was 19.2 ohm and the moisture sensor was open. do these reading seem correct to you?

now does the 2 t-stats both get used or do you just match up the one you need?

Use both of them.I guess you are looking at a web site that you see a picture of them?Are one of them in the picture is that one of them ?You always use both .make sure your air flow is good.

it appears to be the same. i seem to have good air flow. i will order these parts and install and hope for the best lol

You could jump out bad thermostat just to see if heaters comes on.
