GE Profile refrigerator not registering temps correctly

Hello everybody.
I've run into a few of these side-by-side GE refrigerators (first 3 letters of model are always PSS) that don't register the temperature correctly. The product temperature is measured at about 45 degrees, but the control panel up top says 27. The set point, however, is at 40.

I've changed out the damper door for a few and it doesn't really help anything. I've also tried to replace the thermistor a few times as well, but haven't had much success. On one, I'd changed out both the main control board as well as the one up top in the FF side. I haven't been able to really nail down what exactly is going wrong with these and would like to so that I can start getting better/faster diagnosis going for them since I see about one a week.

If any of the thermistor is off the control will not work right. All sensor must be in place and  working.

Is there more than just the one thermistor at about chest high on the left wall of the FF compartment?

There are three termistors on most units. One in ff that works the damper.  One on the evap coil for defrost and one at bottom Of freezer That Controls  compressor Cycle. They can be tested in place off the main board or in a glass of iced water.
