Maytag Smoking after new bearing and seal job

Just finished up putting a new bearing - front and rear and new seal in a Maytag Neptune Front End Loading Washer - Model # MAH5500BWW. Ran it for a test cycle and when the machine went into high spin speed while smoke started filtering out of the soap, bleach, softener dispenser?


You think maybe the clear spacer washer might be causing it. I've read this should disappear with use but how long? Can anyone give me any advise or anyone have any experience with this?

Never had that happen. I'm afraid you may need to pull the tub out again to inspect the seal.

Found the problem, I removed the White "U-Shaped" Spacer Ring behind the seal (and front bearing( and the smoking went away. All is good now!
