whats the first step to take in becoming BBB acredited

Pay their membership dues.

I don't think that there is much value in the BBB.  Its pretty toothless.

You could join your local Chamber of Commerce, but that is not much better.

Send intro letters, followed by postcard adverts to your potential customers.  Then, every couple of months, resend the post cards.  Someone will give you a try.

I think a web page (simple brochure) is a good idea.  Wildy is right that you can lose lots of money by paying for clicks, but you can get google places for free, and those come up on searches.  People use the internet more than the yellow pages, so you should have a presence even if you don't pay for ads.

What about palces to get,additional training and also do you guys have opinions on becoming factory certified techs is it worth it.

I just figured being BBB accredited would help as far as people giving me a shot.

Use vista print.com for business cards/door magnets.  BBB in my area you have to be in bus. for a year (call em)
