I have looked into my issue and feel it may be my washer control board .My washer does not spin the cloths dry enough .The washer does not drain at start of spin cycle it spins then water goes over the top and runs down to the bottom .The washer takes 1hr 20 min to compete a normal cycle .I have checked the red blinking lite on motor it blinks at one second intervals indicating no trouble codes .I have replaced the motor ,shiftier coil ,bearings etc this year .The trouble code says 10 flashes mean there is a communication problem with the motor I do not have this issue .My question is there any other test to ck the timer.I have tried to get a service manual from GE they say they are not available only to trade .Any ideas on my issue.PS COIL SHIFER APPEARS TO BE WORKING OK

If water is coming over the top it must not be draining. That would be my first concern. Check your fault code on motor. Tech sheet under console.

The pump is easy to take apart. I have seen strings and such get into them.

Jw is right look at pump.Pump could be bad or something in pump.Very easy to check out.

Ps you must love that G.E washer to replace all those parts and put in all that money.

Thanks for your help it appears my drain is blocked .The plumber is coming Monday .Pertain to fault code on paper under the console I upgraded to the motor with the red flashing light has more flash codes if you use the one for the green flashing  lite on motor the switch positions appear to be different might want to look into getting a updated fault code list for new motor .Also The newer washers do not have internal lint filters like old non energy efficient models .I have a closed drain system because in my kitchen difficult to put sock over dischare hose to catch lint .Might be a good idea to see it you can get new washers with lint filters inside machine .

I would think that your pump would clog up long before your drain pipe. I clean these pumps out all the time. Rugs are the number one problem. Had one the other day that had appr half gallon of beach sand. I use a homemade pinch off on the hose. It will hold back the water while the pump is cleared.

The errors are the same only the new motor has one extra code (10 flash) which means the control lost communication with the motor.  Also the new motors don’t have the external fuse. This is the page I wrote on this

However I wouldn’t worry about this unless unclogging the pump doesn’t put it back to work.
