GE # GDS20KBSAWW Bottom Freezer Fridge

Condenser fan motor not working. Replaced fan motor with new GE #WR84X10055. Fan motor still doesn't work.

Supply voltage at J2 terminal block on motherboard is 13.00 DCV. Signal voltage at J2 terminal block on motherboard is 13.00 DCV.

Supply voltage at motor terminal connector is 13.00 DCV. Signal voltage at motor terminal connector is 13.00 DCV.

New motor still doesn't work!

J2 pin 3 common and j2 pin 5 should get 11- 13 vdc.J2 pin 3 and pin 8 should get about same.If you don,t bad board.

Appreciate your reply but my post describes exactly that situation. DC voltage at J2 pin 3 and J2 pin 8 is 13.00 VDC. That would indicate that the motherboard is OK,.......wouldn`t it.

How about at the new condenser fan motor you should get 12 volts dc at white wire and and red wire.

Just reread your 2 post.Do you have 11-13vdc at pins J2- pin 3 and J2 pin 5?

Yup,....11-13vdc at pins J2- pin 3 and J2 pin 5 and also, 11-13vdc at red and white at fan motor connector.

I was looking at a wiring diagram you probably don't have a pink wire at condenser fan motor.

Hey Dab: First of all,......thanks for staying alive with me.

Yes, there is a pink wire at the fan motor connector and there is no voltage.

Only, 13.47DCV at the red and white.

Should there be voltage at the pink when the compressor is running.

By the way, there are three wires, red, pink and white, at the connector but there is a `blue`on the motor side connector which apparently isn`t used.

J2 connector. Place black lead on pin 2, red lead on pin 5. Should have 8-12 volts dc.

Also, I said earlier, no voltage at fan motor connector pink and white. That was wrong,.....compressor wasn`t on. There is actually 13.00 DCV at Pink and white at motor connector.

Sounds like a faulty motor or an open circuit between the board and the motor. Check for supply at motor.

According to manual you should have 5.5 volts DC to 12volts DC to yellow and white wires at fan harness depending on speed motherboard is asking for....maybe the board is bad.
