never seen this or even heard of it. lady said washer got to end of cycle and stayed in spin for over and hour. she turned it off and removed her nearly dry load, went to start another load later and it stayed in spin while the water was trying to fill. she stopped it again and later tried another cycle and it seemed to work okay. i tried both the normal and the perm press cycles and it worked perfect- filled move to agitate , rinse move to spin and cut off on its own at end of cycle. one thing i couldnt help but notice however. i never ever heard a timer this loud, it was ridiculous it click, clicked and wined so loud that at one point i went outside and came back in and it was between cycles and the timer was so loud i could here it at the front door and the laundry room was all the way in the back of the house. any ideas? thanks

Is the timer hard to turn? I put a drop of zoomoil on the gears and really work it loose. That seems to quiet down the timer and make it really easier to turn.

doesnt feel particularly hard to turn. what do you think could cause the problems she described? must be something intermittant cause it didnt do it for me. what would be the most likely culprit?

Sounds like your timer is bad.

Well if that is the timer right there them are crappy to begin with. I took one apart once and looked inside.
