I was recently introduced to your website and have been able to make a much needed repair to my LG dishwasher by replacing the heating unit. I now am able to wash my dishes and they are clean and dry when the cycle is complete. So thanks for the suggestion which I gleaned from responses to other people's problems. I do have another issue, however, with the same dishwasher, Model LDF6810ST/01. When the cycle is finished, the power light turns off as it should, but then without me touching it, the power light goes on and off by itself for a good while, which is odd. Most often, by the next morning, it is totally off and I am not able to start it again, unless I flip the circuit breaker. It does not trip the circuit breaker, but I have to flip it off, wait 5 seconds and then flip it on, and then power is restored to the dishwasher and I am actually able to wash another load. This was happening before the heating failure, if I remember right. So, now that I am able to get good results from washing, I don't want it to get worse again. As long as the power light goes on and off, it seems that the top right corner of the dishwasher door is warm to touch.
Does this sound like a problem with the wiring, or is it bigger than that. Please let me know what you think. I have tried tightening the wires in the little box at the bottom, but to no avail. It is driving me nuts!
