Well I made it back from my visit to the U-Line factory located in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I along with about 11 others from around the country participated in an intense two day training session on most of their current product line as well as participated in discussions with their engineering, customer service, tech support, and quality control staff. If you are unfamiliar with the U-Line products, they build a collection of under the counter refrigeration units that come in many varieties including wine coolers, ice makers, beverage coolers, drawer refrigerators, and in most every combination you would want. The training was very well conducted and the information they provided I think was more than adequate for most technicians to provide good quality support on their products. We were also able to take a tour of their plant and see how these units go together from empty cabinet and liner to a fully operational refrigerator. I have included a short video of the press that essentially takes a sheet of plastic, and turns it into a refrigerator liner. Very cool but the video doesn't do it justice. The training was great, but it's always nice to get back home to my own time zone. More from this trip may find it's way into my blog so stay tuned.
