Kenmore Stove

Need some advice....I've got a Kenmore(Frigidaire) Stove Model 790.46603501 that is dead in the water. The only thing that works is when you turn the cook top burners on the indicator bulb for the burner will come on but no burner. The touch control for the oven is completely dark...no timer, none of the controls do anything...oven light doesn't even come on. I've tested the power coming in and I have 240V. Did some tracing on the cook top side and I have 120V on all the terminals on the burner switch when its turned on. Voltage in and out of the burner lockout, etc. On the oven side checked the thermal circuit breaker and that ohmed out good.......I'm stumped. Any idea's ? Pretty certain the EOC is toast but the cook top doesn't appear related to the EOC issue...so ? Thanks for any advice.

219,119,and 119a check good what about 112? Looks like a relay of some sort, naw that is a fan relay would not kill everything Does the control have a bullet fuse going into it? Nope cannot see one. Looks like it gonna be a board or a wire problem.

L1 and l2 should equal appr 240 volts. On your surface infinite switch you should have  appr 240 volts @ l1 and l2 and 240 out @ h1 and h2. Do you have your neutral? L1 to neutral at your source as well as l2 to neutral appr 120 volts. Most ecu will call for appr 120 volts at l2 to bake or broil, which ever your calling for. Some will also have l2 in and out as previously described, but on some units the l2 will not go thru the ecu, but straight to element.

Harold....yes I did verify neutral and I do have 120 on L1 to neutral and L2 to neutral...not sure what you mean by surface infinite switch....sorry. I also verified all the proper voltages on the back of the EOC. Since the display is dark for the oven side I can't turn anything on there. Do the touchpads go bad on those? I was assuming it was the EOC itself but if not receiving input from the touchpad maybe that's the issue...is there a way to test those? I attached the schematic of the cook top burners for reference. Thanks again

Had a problem finding good info. You should have a tech sheet somewhere on stove. Also check board on rear of stove, I know that it's works to your two way burner, but don't remember if oven voltage goes thru it. Look for a burn.

I did check the lockout board on the back of the oven and all appears to be working fine there. It looks like only 5 switches on it one for each burner nothing for the oven.

Did you check to see if you had voltage at the surface element? if so did you ohm out the surface element? did you check continuity at the infinite switch? just trying to rule out the burner problem first.

So ....I made a little headway. I just happened to unplug the P14 connector( from the EOC) which is 6- 18ga blk wires that go down to the cooktop lockout board and low and behold as soon as I did the burner lit up. When checking the voltage through those relays it shows 120 because its only on the L2 side , but if you check L1 to the output L2 coming out of the lockout relay its shows 14volts( when the blk leads are plugged in)
Since the timer display is blank for the oven I'm guess its the EOC board.....It appeared that the cooktop was a seperate circuit and that's what was confusing but after finding those leads it appears there is a connection after all.
Too bad that board is 250.00.....will keep ya posted after I replace it.

...  low and behold as soon as I did the burner lit up.

not sure if I follow you on the rest of the tests ...
but sounds like something (house?) is wired wrong.
Has this stove been working OK up to now at this location ?

I replaced the Oven Controller and everything works perfect now....pretty odd deal that it shut down the whole unit.
