Grandson's Busted Acer Computer

This guy Danny the computer guy says he has a bunch of laptops ready. Says he will take $40 and Chris broken acer laptop in trade for either a Dell D600 or a Acer 4010. Is this a good deal? He says both are wifi and all. What yall think?
