LG Refrigerator model LFC20760SW problem

     I don't do alot of work on these LG's.   Went to unit yesterday,  was totally dead.   Check power at outlet - was fine.    Popped the control board cover in the back of refrigerator and noticed a soldiered in fuse on the board was blown.    My question,  is first what would probably cause this fuse to blow (one of fans, relay, ??) and 2 did anyone ever try to soldier a new fuse into board.    Board number is EBR41531301.   The fuse that blew was the one in the upper left of picture next to white connector plug.    Thanks for any input.

thanks, TGoods.   I'll pick up the fuseholder and give it a try.    I don't know why those LG engineers choose soldiering the fuse in vs using a fuse holder.   Goofy.   Thanks again.

Would be nice to find a fuse that has leads that could be soldered in. Anyone know of a source? I looked around with no success, even radio shack.

UPDATE .......... 
     Thanks, Tgoods.   Went back the other day armed with a fuse holder and new fuse.   The one on this board was a 15 amp fuse.    Anyway,  soldiered it into the board,  and put in the fuse.  Plugged it in.    IMMEDIATLY,  blew fuse.   
     Then, I unplugged the wires from compressor to try to isolate problem, and found fans were running.   Relay was toasted,   Replaced the relay, overload and new 15 amp fuse.    BINGO.   plugged it in,  working like a charm.   
      Saved the customer money,  Saved myself from locating and buying circuit board,  and I stopped yesterday and picked up 2 more fuseholders to keep on the truck.   Thanks again, Tgoods.

Looks like your trying to copy and paste it from your computer. You need to upload the photo someplace online first. Then copy the online address and paste it here.


Or add the photo as a attachment the next time you post a reply.
