defrost profile bottom mount fridges

Both of these fancy fridges have a clog drain issue and a full blown iced up issue, there is so much ice in the fridge section's not the bottom freezer section. that I cant trouble shoot til defrosted .
 
Is there a common problem with these profile fridges or a part that breaks more often that someone has seen?
 
Usually the heat elements stand up pretty good ! so that leaves bimetal and thermister ?
 
I am new to fixing profile stuff, and not very excited about it !!!!!!!!  If it is a common part that breaks  that would be good tks  for yalls help   JPG

I have never worked on one these before, but you said ice build, so that tells me it is defrosting so we can assume the element is good, I would think drain issue. i would check to make sure nothing is plugging the drain.(gunk or food). when you see Ice melting or defrosting is taking place. hope this helps.

This appears to be a bottom mount unit, so it is unlikely that ice or frost build up is from a clogged freezer drain, so u can rule that out. Major frost or ice build up would be totally odd. It would take a fresh food side that is freezing and accumulating condensation To create such a condition.
