Thank you so much. There has been a very bad odor coming from the drum of our washer. So, I pull off the fabric softener dispenser and fabric softener goes all over the inside. >.< I keep digging and it is all just absolutely disgusting. Had to disassemble the whole agitator to clean it thoroughly. Lesson learned, do not use the dispenser unless you want to clean it regularly...

By the way, still gotta clean the fabric softener dispenser. Does anyone know if the one in this post comes apart so you can easily clean it? The inside is not easy to get to with only two small openings.

I don't think the dispenser comes apart, so I guess I will be using another method of cleaning it. Hot water soaking and rinsing a few times will have to do.

The dispenser does not come apart.

One gallon hot water.
1/4 cup liquid detergent.
1 cup bleach.
Mix solution well.
Soak and scrub soak and scrub.
Use rubber gloves.
