Frigidaire French Door LGUB2642LF2 auger motor help
« on: August 01, 2012, 07:48:23 AM »
I believe the auger motor is bad in this nearly new refrigerator. The ice chute opens but no noise at all from auger. My question is how do you remove it? Does the whole icemaker assembly and microswitches come out or is there a way to remove it from the back? Thanks much

Auger motor is located behind your icenbin. Remove it and make sure it will turn. Check for an open winding with an ohm meter.http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5535844&diagram_id=28890173#d28890173
