maytag performa will not heat

I have a maytag performa that will not heat.  I verified I am getting 240 volts to the plug.  I pulled out the high temp thermostat, heating element and thermal fuse.  All had conductivity.  any ideas what to check next?  With the unit running I do not have 240 volts across the 2 leads on the heating coil.  I have 0 volts.

Find out which lead on your heater has lack of voltage and trace it back to the source. Problem could be in your motor relay or the timer, or even some where along the way.

Control thermostat might also be out.

Check for continuity, L to H on the timer and L1 to C on the heat selector switch.

I have continuity between l and h on timer and between l1 and c on the heat switch.  On the heating coil I have 120V between ground and each leg of the coil.  Shouldn't it have 220 between each heating coil lead and ground?

You should have appr 120 v on each, and 220 v tested together. Make sure your pull one of the terminal connectors off when making your 120 v test. If your element is good and not heating, then one these two lead does not have your 120 v. Find out which one that does not have that 120 v and trace it back to where the problem is.

Thanks, found the issue.  Traced the wire from the element back to a connector on the motor.  Connector had come loose and melted one of the terminals.  Replaced the terminal and we are now in service.
