GE PTAN9250MWS top load washer always spins

Hi;
I'm working on a GE PTAN9250MWS top load washer that starts to spin as soon as you start a cycle. Even if you pause the cycle it will keep spinning. This will also happen if I start it in service mode. In service mode I can activate the water valves ect. but the tub is always spinning. I suspect the control board but I'm not familar with this model. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me, mode shifter bad.

Thanks for the replies. The model number is correct. To get the machine to stop spinning I have to unplug it and wait for the tub to stop then turn the cycle knob to off and then I can plug it back in. As soon as I select a cycle it starts spinning and won't stop until I unplug it. Also the start and pause button does not stop the spin.

I think the ohm vaue is 96 on the mode shifter. Two lead plugs into inverter board on motor. Good luck.

the newer mode shifters only ohm about 68, you have a control on the top of the motor that flashes codes. I have had bad shifters agitate but not spin ??

Checked mode shifter and it was ok. Problem was the circuit board.
