dishwasher will not start

Our dishwasher has power through the door switches to the control panel. I have replaced the control panel twice and it still will not start. The start, cancel/drain, rinse only and delay start lights do not light up on the touch pad console. I am wondering if the console assembly could be bad? Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me.
