Frigidaire Refrigerator Ice Maker Has White Plastic Particles In Ice

I am finding what look like white plastic particles in my ice from the ice maker inside the freezer. It is also spilling some water down onto the ice bucket. Could it be that the ejector tines are scraping each other and starting to come apart or is it something in the water line building up like impurities? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

I know this is an old post, but I stumbled across it and wanted to alert everyone that this problem could also be a misaligned dispenser drum in the ice container if they are dealing with an ice-n-water unit.

There were cases found where the drum was adjusted too tightly against the front plate, thus shaving plastic off the drum. To remedy, remove the front cover and locate the adjuster screw and adjust the spacing of the drum from the plate so it doesn't rub. The adjustment is made via the center screw/nut on the auger, where the e-clip is located.
