Washer with Po error code
«

Hi, working on a whilpool washer model#
WTW6800WW1
and the error code that originally came up was Po - which means Pump Out - if the lid is open for ten minutes or more the pump begins to drain the water... The problem is I can not get the error to come up again but this is what happens....
Press Power - select setting - push start and all I get is a humming sound. Checked the circulating pump and it works - the other pump sounded like it was running.. I then removed the contol unit and inner face board.. unplugged the innerface from the control unit and it stated to work. I then plugged the two back together again and started the machine and it went fine for about 5 minutes then it stopped and just hums.. it rinsed.spun then nothing but a hum. NO ERROR code appears.I am CONFUSED...bad board maybe? Somebody help me!!! Thanks in Advance!!!

When you say it just hums can you tell what is making the humming noise?

On this model, i have found coins in drain pump causing humming noise, they also came out with a new design drain filter @ bottom of tub to prevent coins from passing down to pump.

I've replace the drain pumps on a few of these where the coin actually cracked the housing causing it to leak.. I've pull panties. Considering that is a shaded pole motor, they will sit there and hum. Could even be bad.

Thanks Big Buck, I found coins and what appeared to be a mop head in the plastic housing between the circulating pump and the regular pump. Also found a baby sock in the regular pump... Cleaned all out and is working fine.. Thanks To All who helped me on this.. I love this forum!!!!!!!
